Dr. Stephen Britt, a board certified general surgeon, joined Surgical Associates of Marshall County in 2003. He specializes in laparoscopic or minimally invasive surgery. He provides surgery to residents of Marshall County and North Alabama with offices in Guntersville and Albertville.
A native of Tennessee, Dr. Britt attended East Tennessee State University for his undergraduate studies, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He then graduated from Quillen College of Medicine in East Tennessee State University before completing his general residency at UT Chattanooga. Dr. Britt has served in multiple medical leadership roles within the Marshall Medical Center. He is the director of the Marshall Wound Healing Center.
Dr. Britt is married and is the proud father of two children. In his sparse spare time he enjoys attending his kids’ activities, reading, and weightlifting. He attends Whitesburg Baptist Church.
